My name is Phillip and I use technology for a broad variety of purposes in my day to to day life. I use it to connect with friends at all times of day, to keep me informed on the  newest occurrences in the world, and more than anything else, for entertainment.

The way I consume media online leads me to see many advertisements for different products. These ads can sometimes be very memorable, like the ad from Greenpeace mocking an earlier ad from dove promoting self-love, due to dove's less than admirable business practices. The ad was designed with the intent to open up the public's eyes to the unsavory ways that dive harvests its palm oil for their products, and to show the environmental impact of that. The ad shows a slurry of images in a short period of time of deforestation and dead animals ending with a young Indonesian girl surrounded by dead trees. This ad showed me the importance of knowing where the things I use come from and to be more environmentally conscious.
